Approximately 126,000 direct dependents, with economic activity estimated to support up to 270,000 individuals indirectly.

Government expansion plan:
Punjab’s 2025–26 development program includes Rs 10 billion allocated to expand the network.
Planned scale:
The long-term target is 100–105 permanent Sahulat Bazaars across Punjab’s tehsils, significantly increasing rural coverage.

Products and pricing
PSBA sells a set of essential items with a stated price relief relative to DC notified rates.
- Confirmed categories (13 items): Vegetables — potato, onion, tomato, pumpkin, garlic; Fruits — apple, banana, dates, lemon, guava; Pulses — gram, besan; Wheat flour; Sugar.
- Pricing policy: Prices offered at about 7% below DC notified rates.
- Ramzan special: Additional 35% discount on select items during Ramzan (as published).

Governance and oversight
